Do you taking bookings for people travelling for work?

Yes, we have room only and B&B rates for business stays.

How long does it take to walk into the centre of Glastonbury from the Lion?

There are public rights of way to Glastonbury which avoid the main road, this would normally take around an hour.

Do you offer room service?

Sadly no, we are a small independant hotel and not equipped for room service. We can offer our menu to takeaway which you would be most welcome to enjoy in your room should you wish.

How far are you from Pennard House?

We are 3.1 miles from Pennard House, roughly a 10 minute drive.

Are you dog friendly?

Dogs are welcome throughout The Lion, this includes rooms, bar and restaurant. We just ask theyre kept on a lead and off the furniture.

Do you charge extra for dogs?

No we don’t, however should we have to employ additional cleaning to a room from excessive mess caused by a dog we will charge accordingly.

Do you have a free car park?

Yes.

Are your bedrooms en-suite?

Yes, all of our rooms have private en-suite facilities.

Are you open on Christmas Day?

Yes, we are open for drinks only from 11am-2pm.

Do you have a late bar for residents?

No, we do not hold a late license for residents.

Do you offer breakfast?

Yes. Breakfast is included in our B&B rate, or can be added on check in for our Room Only rate.

Is the hotel cat friendly?

Unfortunately not, we only acceot dogs to stay with us.

Do you have any rooms with disable facilities/access?

Yes, our King Courtyard rooms are situated on the ground floor and have wet room bathrooms.

Do you provide travel cots?

No, you would be required to bring your own travel cot.

How many dogs are allowed in each room?

Our limit is 2 per room.

What time is breakfast?

We serve breakfast 7 days a week from 8am-11am.

Do you serve food?

Yes, our restaurant is open 7 days a week.

Monday to Saturday - Breakfast 8am-11am, Lunch 12pm-3pm, Dinner 6pm-9pm.

Sunday - Breakfast 8am-11am, Lunch 12pm-4pm.

Last sitting is 30 mins prior to closing.

How much is breakfast?

Breakfast is charged at £15pp for reseidents, this will need to be added on check-in.
